Can I put ice after my treatment?
You may apply ice to the treatment area for about 5-10 min every 30 min the same night to minimize any chance of swelling or bruising the following day.
Can I wash my face?
You can wash your face with regular soap and water or facewash. You may use a small alcohol wipe and clean over the injection area sites
How soon can I put make up on?
Please do not put make up for 24 hours after the procedure to allow injection sites to fully
close, this will greatly minimize the chance of getting an infection.
What can I put on my face the next day?
You can apply your regular moisturizer in the morning, but avoid using foundation or powder makeup.
What can I take if I have any discomfort after the procedure?
You may take 2 Extra Strength Tylenol pills or 2-3 pills of an over the counter NSAID, such as Motrin, Advil or Aleve.
What should I look for in the morning after?
It is perfectly normal to feel a little soreness and see mild swelling. You may also see small bruises. If they occur, it’s okay to put some topical Arnica gel if you desire and it totally optional

Can I sleep on my sides?
Please don’t sleep on the sides, but rather flat on your back to avoid any chance of suture moving or breaking.
How can I protect my threads while I sleep?
Please wear a compression bandage around your face and/or neck as you sleep for about 5-7 days. This will keep your threads secure and in place.
How long do I need to wait before getting a facial?
Please avoid any aggressive facial treatment that require rubbing and vigorous massaging for at least 1 month.
Which laser treatments should I avoid after facial threads?
You want to avoid getting deep laser treatments which may dissolve the threads for about 3 months after your procedure. It’s best to wait full 6 months if possible.
When Should I see Dr. Avaliani again?
Please make sure to follow up 1 week after your procedure.If you have any question or concerns, please do not hesitate and call/email/text Dr.Avaliani’s office.
