Dr. Avaliani is the leading female expert on non-invasive cosmetic and laser surgery in New York City. She is a Member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and a Diplomat of the American Board of Medical Specialties. She has also achieved status as a RealSelf Top Doctor for her field expertise and in-depth knowledge.
Dr. Avaliani founded the Cosmetic & Laser Surgery Center on the Upper East Side in 2012. In fact, it’s like going to the spa, so feel free to read, check your email, or even take a nap while you're having it done. The procedure itself will feel like an ice pack has been placed on your skin and you will most likely experience a stinging sensation for a few minutes until the treated area becomes numb. Once the treatment is finished, the treatment applicator will be removed and the treated area will be massaged until it returns to normal temperature.
After a CoolSculpting procedure, most patients can immediately return to their normal schedules and activities. While the treated area heals, redness, irritation, tingling, bruising, and numbness are the most common side effects reported, however, these symptoms typically only last a few days.
