What is Renuva?
Renuva is not a filler, it is the first off-the-shelf allograft adipose matrix, used to help replenish age-related volume loss, and contour deficiencies.
How does Renuva work?
Renuva does not “fill” a space – instead it helps to restore volume where fat loss has occurred, or where fat is desired. Over the course of 3 – 6 months post treatment on average, Renuva remodels in the body – leaving the patient’s own fat cells exactly where desired. Individual results may vary.
Renuva can best be likened to a honeycomb, which provides the structure for the production and storage of honey. Once injected, Renuva creates a honeycomb type matrix that fills with the patient’s own fat.
Who is the right candidate for Renuva injections?
The right candidate description depends on the quality of the skin of the patient at the time of presentation, how fast they wish to see their results, their medical history along with medications and contraindications and their budget. This can only be discussed at the time of the expert consultation.
Where is Renuva made?
MTF Biologics is a nonprofit organization that manufactures Renuva, as well as many other tissue based grafts. MTF Biologics was founded in 1987 as the Musculoskeletal Transplant Foundation and has since evolved into MTF Biologics with three business franchises; orthopedics, plastic, and reconstructive surgery and wound care. Our status as a nonprofit foundation, not only represents our reverence for our donors and their loved ones, but also allows us to invest in important research initiatives – which further helps advance the science of tissue transplantation and regenerative medicine. Throughout our 35 years of experience, we have developed several different processing methods to efficiently and effectively yield optimal results from each tissue type. In addition to maximizing the tissue gifts from our donors, we also ensure that the donor screening process yields the safest and highest quality tissue grafts.
What is the cost of Renuva Injections?
It is impossible to provide the exact cost of the product but it is more expensive in comparison to your traditional HA fillers like Restylane and/or Juvederm because Renuva injections offer more stimulatory and restoring properties and can last a lot longer.

Here are some key benefits of Renuva injections:
- Non-Surgical Solution: Renuva provides a non-surgical option for volume restoration and enhancement. It offers an alternative to surgical procedures such as dermal fillers, fat grafting or implants. Renuva injections can be performed in a clinic setting, typically with minimal downtime and without the need for incisions or general anesthesia.
- Volume Restoration: Renuva is specifically designed to address areas of volume loss in the body. It can be used to restore volume in various areas, such as the face, hands, and body, where natural fat or tissue has diminished over time. Renuva injections can help improve the overall contour and shape of treated areas, creating a more youthful and rejuvenated appearance.
- Long-Lasting Results: Renuva provides long-lasting results compared to some other temporary dermal fillers. The injected fat particles in Renuva integrate with the surrounding tissues and stimulate the growth of new fat cells. This can lead to longer-lasting volume restoration compared to fillers that are eventually metabolized by the body. The effects of Renuva can be seen for several months to years, depending on individual factors and the treatment area.
- Versatility: Renuva is a versatile treatment option that can be used in various areas of the body. It is commonly used for facial volumization, such as filling in hollow cheeks or addressing volume loss in the temples or tear troughs. Renuva can also be used for body contouring, such as enhancing buttocks, correcting irregularities from liposuction, or adding volume to other body areas where desired.
- Natural-Looking Results: Renuva injections provide natural-looking results. The fat particles in Renuva integrate seamlessly with the surrounding tissues, creating a smooth and natural appearance. The results are subtle and gradual, enhancing the natural contours and volume of the treated area without an overdone or artificial look.
RenuvaVs Dermal filler
- Long-lasting results: Renuva injections provide longer-lasting results compared to some temporary dermal fillers. Renuva uses processed donor tissue to replace lost volume in the treated area, and the injected fat particles integrate with the surrounding tissues, stimulating the growth of new fat cells. This can lead to results that can last for several months to years, depending on individual factors and the treatment area.
- Volume restoration: Renuva is specifically designed for volume restoration. It is commonly used to address areas of volume loss, such as hollow cheeks, temples, tear troughs, or body areas that have experienced fat or tissue depletion over time. Renuva can provide more significant volume enhancement in these areas compared to certain dermal fillers.
- Natural integration: Renuva injections offer a natural integration with the surrounding tissues. The injected fat particles blend seamlessly, creating a natural-looking appearance and texture. Renuva can help enhance the overall contours and volume of the treated area, providing a subtle and rejuvenated result.
- Immediate results: Dermal fillers provide immediate results after the injection. They are specifically formulated to add volume, fill in wrinkles or lines, and enhance facial features. The effects of dermal fillers are noticeable right away, making them a popular choice for those seeking immediate improvements.
- Wide range of treatment areas: Dermal fillers offer versatility in treating various areas of the face, such as the lips, cheeks, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, and under-eye hollows. They can help restore volume, improve facial contours, and smooth out wrinkles and lines.
- Temporary and adjustable: Most dermal fillers are temporary and gradually metabolized by the body over time. This can be advantageous for individuals who want to try different options or adjust their appearance as desired. If needed, the effects of dermal fillers can be reversed or adjusted with appropriate treatments.
- Different formulations for specific needs: Dermal fillers come in different formulations and consistencies, allowing providers to tailor the treatment to the specific needs and desired outcomes of each individual. This flexibility enables customization for various areas of the face and different concerns.
