Collagen production is important to keep skin youthful and strong. The more collagen you have, the healthier, stronger and thicker your skin becomes. Unfortunately, when we forget to protect our skin from harmful sun damage and don’t watch our diet, our collagen levels decrease and the skin starts to look dull, flat, and saggy, thus causing us to look older. Microneedling the latest cosmetic procedure proven to make your body stimulate new and strong collagen. Eclipse MicroPen® Elite can be used on all parts of the body: head, face, neck, décolleté, arms, hands, legs, abdomen , thighs and buttock. When Microneedling is combined with PRP (platelet rich plasma), the results are even greater! Come in for your consultation with Dr. Avaliani to find out how Eclipse MicroPen® Elite together with PRP can reveal the best you and your best hair.

What is Microneedling?

Eclipse MicroPen® Elite Micro-Needling is a new innovation in aesthetic medicine used to create controlled micro-injuries to the skin in order to aid in the production of collagen and elastin. The new boost of collagen thickens the skin, thus softening the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. When microneedling is combined with special growth factors from PRP (platelet rich plasma) in what is called Vampire Facial, the collagen is stimulated in deeper layers of the skin, thus providing longer lasting results.

Each treatment consists of using 12 small, sterile, surgical microneedles to create small channels in the skin causing your body to start generating new collagen as it heals as well as creating access for growth factors to penetrate deeper layers of the skin

How is Microneedling treatment performed?

The treatment area is washed and numbing cram is applied. After enough of time has passed (usually 40-60 min), the skin is washed again and cleansed. Dr. Avaliani then uses Eclipse MicroPen® Elite, she opens a sterile needle piece. The Micropen allows to adjust the depth of needle penetration depending on the area to be treated. The needle depth for treatment of fine wrinkles around the eyes (0.25mm) is very different when compared to acne scar depth, which is usually deeper (about 1.5-2 mm)
