Sculptra® treatment in NYC

What is Sculptra®?
It’s an FDA approved injection for correction or restoration of facial fat loss. It’s a natural filler made from PLLA (poly L Lactic acid), which has a long history of medical safety and is a natural stimulator of collagen production.
How does it work?
The microparticles of PLLA stimulate “neocollagenesis”, a new collagen formation.
The build up of new collagen in the treatment area adds volume, while the microparticles are broken down by the body into carbon dioxide and water, which then is eliminated naturally with your breaths.
How long does it last?
It can last up to 2 years and longer.
It is reversible?
The treatment is not reversible, but it is not permanent either. It is gradually transformed by the body into collagen.
How many injections do I need?
The amount of product to be injected depends on the age, amount of facial volume loss and the desired effect. All of these components will be greatly discussed at the time of consultation with Dr. Avaliani and a treatment plan will be provided for your convenience.
