Who wants a permanent cellulite treatment? QWO offers permanent solution for very severe and moderately severe types of cellulite.

Over 90% of women have cellulite and the most common reason for it is the hardening of the fibrous septae (which provide structural support to our skin) They are responsible for dimpling or cottage cheese like appearance of the skin.

Not all cellulite is the same and not all treatments are created equal.

Careful and expert consultation must be performed to assess what causes cellulite to form, and whether there is any skin laxity present

How does QWO ( collagenasecollagenase clostridium histolyticum-aaes) work?

It destroys those fibrous septae which cause skin dimpling!

The exact mechanism of action is unknown but it contains proteinases ( enzymes that sort of work like bleach) which break down old collagen particles and help make new ones where the cellulite dimples are. This breakdown mechanism results in smoother skin surface and potential elimination of dimples.

Cellulite Grades

Grade 0:  Perfect looking skin

Grade 1 Cellulite is when you cannot visually see the cellulite skin changes but they are there when the skin is examined under a microscope.

Grade 2 Cellulite is the most common and happens when the skin loses it’s elasticity and you start to visualize the early dimpling of the skin visible to the naked eye.

Grade 3 Cellulite is the most severe and most difficult to treat and might require a combination of treatments to reduce the size of fat cells and to tighten the skin

  • The first step is expert consultation to examine the cellulite and to discuss the most proper available options.
  • We need to establish whether there is skin laxity or not because our management will be different.
  • QWO is meant to treat cellulite without any skin laxity. When there is skin laxity present, then we have to discuss skin tightening options.
