What makes the distance workable is the Lexington Avenue express. The 4 and 5 trains leave from Bowling Green, Wall Street and Fulton Street and, once past Brooklyn Bridge, stop only at 14th Street and Grand Central before Lexington Avenue/59th Street, a block from our door.

Finding Us from the Financial District
The simplest route is the uptown 4 or 5 from Wall Street, Fulton Street or Bowling Green. After Brooklyn Bridge, both trains run express and stop only at 14th Street-Union Square and Grand Central-42nd Street before reaching Lexington Avenue/59th Street. The ride usually takes about fifteen to twenty minutes. From the station it is a few minutes on foot west along 60th Street to our building between Park and Madison. Patients working near the Seaport or the World Trade Center often walk to Fulton Street, since the Fulton Center connects the 4 and 5 with several other lines.
If you would rather avoid a transfer from the west side of lower Manhattan, the R train runs from Whitehall Street, Rector Street and Cortlandt Street directly to 5th Avenue/59th Street, joined by the W on weekday daytimes. It makes local stops the whole way, so it is slower than the express, but it is a single seat and the station’s main entrance at 60th Street and Fifth Avenue is about a block from us. Late at night the 4 runs local, so allow a little longer for evening appointments.

How far is your office from the Financial District?
We are at 30 East 60th Street between Park and Madison Avenues, several miles north of Wall Street. It is too far to walk, but the 4 and 5 express trains make it a direct ride with no transfer, and most patients find it quicker than a crosstown trip in Midtown traffic.
Which train should I take from Wall Street?

Is there a one-seat ride from Battery Park City or the west side of the district?
Yes. The R, and on weekdays the W, run from Rector Street, Cortlandt Street and Whitehall Street to 5th Avenue/59th Street without a transfer. They stop at every station, so the trip is slower than the express, but the exit at 60th Street and Fifth Avenue is about a block from the office.
Can I fit a Botox appointment around the trading day?
Many downtown patients come early in the morning, over lunch, or after the close. A neurotoxin appointment with an established patient is short, and there is no downtime, so you can take the express straight back downtown afterward.
Do you treat jaw clenching and teeth grinding?
Yes. Dr. Avaliani treats the masseter muscles with neurotoxin to reduce clenching and grinding, which often builds up during high-pressure periods. It is a quick injection, and many patients also notice a slimmer lower face as the muscle relaxes.
Can you help with excessive sweating?
Yes. Botox is an established treatment for hyperhidrosis of the underarms, palms and scalp. Results typically last several months, and Dr. Avaliani will talk through whether you are a good candidate at your consultation.
